Anyone got access to a crane??
The beam steel has a spec of 37kg not sure if this relates to per meter??
Just done the math. 240kg is nearly a quarter of a tonne ?
Was that 4 pinheads though?[emoji23]It surely can't be that heavy, the solid concrete 5m beams for my extension were 230kg each - it took 4 of us to lift them and it was a struggle!
So 1 builder or 4 pinheads per metre should handle it [emoji16]https://www.metals4u.co.uk/mild-steel/c6/universal-beams-rsj/c1535
Select an RSJ of the approx size.. click on it... look at the info top right... so if i click on "Universal Beam 305 x 102 x 33" it says "305mm high 102mm wide weight 33 Kg per metre "
So the above probably not that far off!!

1 builder = 4 geeks was the measurement I was taught to use.

ah ok cool look forward to seeing it in place and good luck with that bit bud!!It’s a traditional roof that will be open inside. Trusses mean higher building and ceilings
