Heads up that my Monster Bash is up for sale and available for pickup after league meet here on 10th November. Star Trek fever got the better of me.... Great game MB but not got the longevity of other machines I own.

Playfield is super nice with tons of new parts; flippers, switches, plastics, mosh pit mantis protector, full plastics set etc. Had a full strip and rebuild by Jim Askey a few months ago and anyone who knows Jim will know the quality of his work. I've fitted two new Eddy board chips from Pinbits (to improve reliability) since I've owned it.

Would like someone here to pick this up if possible before posting elsewhere. Viewing and collection preferred so everything can be appreciated fully, avoid misinterpreted descriptions and all that plus, me having to drag it outside to get decent photos in better light.

I'm near Preston in NW, welcome over for a look and play. Price is £4,500 firm. Ta.

Not often a MB comes up for sale and one in top condition like this one is a rare thing indeed.
Played this very machine and its all + more than John says.

Won't be around for long. I've been offered 4500 for mine several times and it's not as nice as yours.

Anyone reading this thread and thinking about offering 4400..... you'll regret it, I promise you.

Good for you dude for not messing with this "send me offers" malarkey.

Maybe he'll trade.... ;)

Unfortunately can't on this one with Star Trek on its way. Got an upcoming bill to pay...

I'm actually out of pocket at £4,500 considering my previous transport pickup costs and Eddy board chip upgrades, but so long as I cover my new toy, all's good. I'm not open to offers BTW, sorry.

My grail pin. Sadly they'll only give me about £500 for a kidney so i'll have to hang fire on this one. ;)

Good luck with the sale and I hope it goes to someone who'll treasure it.

I am buying a house right now, can people stop selling the pins I want as this is beginning to do my nut in.
Good luck with the sale.

So buy it and add it to the mortgage then ask for delivery once you've moved in to the new place... ;)

I dithered about on one a few years back I got offered for £2k. Got bought by someone else who tarted it up and flipped it :(

A few initial pics, need to take outside on a dry day for better close up/hi res ones without using the flash.

New windows, roof, and gutters are already added on the mortgage. Things like kitchens, bathrooms and carpets are not. Has anyone seen the film Money Pit?

My house has been just the same... never ending. Got to a point now that the house can wait and time to spend money on new toys. Take a leaf out of my book ;) Who needs gutters and carpet anyway, no need for carpet in a games room !!

Droooool. Good luck with the sale JMP. Gutted i'm not in a position to buy.

Looks like there's no wear on the drac track or the scoop which from what i've heard is quite rare.

It's been refurbished and I believe there's a decal there but not easy to see... From memory the machine has had:

Full playfield strip, clean etc. above and below.
Two brand new flippers.
New switches.
Full plastics set.
New Mosh pit scoop and mantis protector fitted.
Under playfield drac track support bracket fitted from Pinbits.
New drac coffin housing.
New Pinbits Creature window.
New Pinbits Eddy board chips for phantom flip.
All metal parts polished above and below the playfield (forgot to take a photo of underneath).
New rubber set.

Cab artwork is not bad to the body but has been cut away and coloured in at the legs as you can see. Backbox has some dings/scuffs on the edges. With a re-decal of the cabinet, it would be a minter ! ;)

Seems like the perfect time to reflect on when I bought my MB on eBay for £1300 ;)

Thanks for that Will, now state just how long ago that was (or that it was a freak purchase) before those new to the scene think I'm trying to rip people off....

Thanks the rest of you on the well wishes.

Heh heh ... it was a while ago and prices have certainly headed way north since then :D

Around 2008 IIRC. I remember going with Will to pick it up, all the way down to some farmhouse in Devon and back. Believe it or not back then MB wasn't in the upper echelons of pricing. Pretty sure it was an ebay auction that ran its course. Might be wrong, the deal may have been struck off the bay but there certainly wasn't a feeding frenzy over it. Those sure were different times !
