I've had no luck trading my AFM for a MB so I'm now looking for one to buy outright. Any condition considered but I'm not paying £6k+ like some jokers have quoted me for routed games

Cheers

Jonathan.

Deffo harder to source than AFM and more expensive like for like, think 5.5k should get you a really nice one, problem is.....who's selling? apart from that roughish one on the forum some time back (Cooldans? could be wrong) and Tobins that was on Ebay, not seen any others for grabs in quite some time.

People might not be selling but there's a fair few kicking around in the UK

I am always looking out for them too and have only got 2 in two years. I am frequently offered big money for them. I figure the MB is also seen as a good investment pin because its unlikely it will be remade. I agree if you are looking for a nice one your will need upwards of 5K. Personally I refused an offer of 6k on my remaining one.

I thought it is VERY likely to be re-made, either after MMR or maybe AFMR.

Don't think it being re-made will have much of an effect though.

Yes I would have thought if the next remake is AFM then either MB or CC will be next. Although judging by the fiasco that is MMR, they probably won't bother with any more remakes.

why would you be looking for a 3rd MB? I'm not after an investment, I just want to own one for 6 months to play it to death

Thanks

He's already sold it. He had it listed for £6k a couple of weeks ago

I'd be very surprised if when you find one it lasts 6 months.
Beautiful looking game and that's were it stops. Game play is very shallow.
It a machine that's screaming out for a rewrite.
Good luck in your search for one.

I just love the theme as do my young boys plus I love restoring and know every inch of this machine. I am rubbish at Pinball anyway and this is OK for me. I doubt it will be remade because of the nightmare licensing issues associated with the theme.

Never understood why people think licencing the universal monsters is such a big issue. It's all owned by the same company and the images are found on a whole **** load of stuff. I still think we'll see AFMr first but I'd be surprised if it's not one of the other hot titles. Mind you I'd settle for getting my MMr first:(

Wrong the Karloff Frankenstein's monster likeness is owned by the Karloff estate. Yes part of it will be owned by universal / Comcast she's ment to be abit of a bitch to get approval from. Can't see why the others wouldn't be an issue tho

Ahh, cheers Rudi for the insight. Bet approval would still happen if cash is waved;) I'm assuming that she was paid when it first came out

Safe to assume, CC and AFM will be cheaper and more straightforward to remake than MB form a licensing standpoint at least.

Indeed and hence why it would be no time soon..... and a good investment pin which is fun and looks good in any collection

Judging by the speed of other roll outs I will be long gone before an MB is remade :D

:rofl:think I will be long gone before I get my MMr at this rate :D

Edit: just read that it should be here around xmas, fingers crossed I should get to see it.
