METLE LED problems - any LE owners out there?!

Hi Guys,

I've had some problems with my METLE.

I had a 5v rectifier go which killed the game dead. Phil kindly replaced the rectifier and the game now plays normally, with the exception of the lane inserts, 3 left lines of which stay on permantly, the 2 right ones are permantly off. Most of the LED inserts on the bottom of the playfield are on too. All GI is ok as are all the lane marker colour changing LEDs.

Stern are suggesting I should swap out my power driver board to see if it makes a difference. If that's ok, I need to test the LED control board.

Is there anyone out there with a METLE who wouldn't mind testing my power driver board and/or LED control board please? Stern say that the power board could be dropped into an AC/DC LE, Avengers LE, Star Trek LE or a Tron LE. I guess the LED controller board can only go into a METLE. I have no reason to think that the board will damage your game as the issue was with the rectifier that has now been replaced, so I'm happy to guarantee against any damage in the unlikely event of problems with your game.

Can anyone help me out please?

Cheers

Lloyd

BTW I'm in High Wycombe, not Sweden as my signature suggests!

Nice one Peter, I look forward to seeing you again soon and hopefully getting this sorted.

The generosity in this hobby never ceases to amaze me.

Just a quick big thank you to Peter for spending time with me on a Bank Holiday morning to test my boards. We've narrowed things down to the LED boards themselves, so it's saved a lot of faffing around trying to narrow down the fault. Hopefully I should be up and running again soon.

You have some amazing machines Peter, and thanks for hosting my little girl too. She really enjoyed it. :)
