Metal Polish

Just a quick one, would be interested to know what kind of metal polish is best to use for parts like pop bumper rings etc? I know a lot of people use those fancy tumblers etc but if you wanted to do it by hand what would be best to use? Brasso or something similar or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I use standard Autosol metal polish...Works wonders
