Found it! medieval madness

http://tiltforums.com/t/afm-mm-remake-flipper-delay/3212

Not just in mine, as many of the world's top players also think so ;)
I didn't see any of the worlds top players say anything of the sort on that thread, I saw all of them moaning and they need to play better.

The data that the CGC guys put out categorically positioned this as a non-issue. Now I know there is a lot od debates on science right but now and clearly this side of the globe has flat-earthers, anti-vaxxers too! :D
I also followed up with Brian and Lyman about the flipper droop (which explained more of the issues than the flipper feeling) and I was right in saying that flippers aligned to the inland angle is just plain wrong.

So people moan about a 1 to 5 ms delay on flippers @Neil McRae ? Any electrical circuit will have some sort of lag. I think these people have too much time on their hands and maybe they should be sorting out issues that exist or real problems in the world.

I was always told the two holes in ther playfield is where the flippers should be alligned to. I put a small allen key into these holes and put the bottom of the flipper to line up onto it. Simple.

Anyway the thread starter wants a MM original, that is his choice - agree or disagree. Change the switches and that is it, all you have to do for a reliable (ish) playing game.

I would say - I love remakes but they do play different to the original. The remakes have a thicker coat of clear coat for one.

A 25 year old game is always going to play differently to a NIB one. Just upgraded my AFM for an AFMr. Plays totally differently. Not worse, just different. Going to take me a while to get used to it.

Good luck to the OP in their search for an original.

I've played lots of both. On some remakes differrence is very noticeable on others you really wouldn't know the difference between an original and a remake. I normally put it down to set up. The originals have 25 years or so of tinkering by many people over the years and so tend to play better than a freshly installed remake unless the owner is good at tweaking machines to help them play sweet or was just lucky out of the box.

Here purely to tease :D

Is that 40 PM’s ? Or 40 messages on this wanted ad?
Maybe we need to lock down wanted ads?.............

Does it have to be a original? might expand your search by 50% more by accepting a remake? I was playing the remake / nbafb last night and the flippers felt the same to me.

Bought my original mm for 6k and sold it for slightly less. That was 18 months ago.

Here you go!
