Making a ramp protector

My TX Sector has a broken ramp entrance & given that it has a fair bit of give in it the ball loses loads of momentum colliding with it on entry:

So today I made a ramp protector for it. Found a piece of sheet steel from an old gas heater being thrown out, using a hacksaw & a metal file managed to come up with this in about 45 mins. Quite pleased with the result tbh...sure it could fit better, but seems to do the job quite well (held on by a cable-tie to the wireform support, so no permanent modification to the machine & easily removable too):
