Hi there pinballers, as I have numerous customers who visit here I just wanted to post a quick thread to let you know that there will be a few changes coming up. Some good and some bad.
For those whose have visited my workshop you will appreciate it is not an ideal facility. There is very little room to actually work, moving pins in and out is a nightmare and I'm so incredibly busy it just doesn't work anymore. Within the next couple of months I should be working from a purpose built cabin workshop with room for hopefully 4 projects at a time and a nice amount of space to work around the games and a workbench/parts corner - with room for a chair too! This will help considerably with allowing me to catch up on my waiting lists which currently stand at 27 machines. Thank you to everyone on a list who is waiting patiently!
Home repairs are now almost caught up after 3 months of being closed at the start of the year due to health. I've always tried my hardest to keep my prices low, primarily because I was/am the new tech on the block, however I need to have customers booked in for home repairs to earn a consistent wage to keep in business. Although I'm busy, that isn't happening and therefore I have had to make the decision to go back into part-time work elsewhere which takes me away from the business and is far from ideal. Because of this for the next 2 months I will be running a forum based customer recruitment drive and I will be dropping my hourly rate to £30 (from £40) for forum members only who have booked in after this post was made.
I'm based in Essex and cover roughly an 80 mile radius (I can travel further if required) I work on all machines, of all ages, from all manufacturers - EM machines may need to be booked into the workshop dependant on the fault.
Thanks everyone and as always thank you for your support keeping a young tech in business
