Magnetised trough?

Noticed balls were jamming in the ToM outhole/plunger trough occasionally, causing multi-ball to miss-count and not always putting balls into the shooter lane... Balls were magnetised so replaced with new ones and also have a pinbits plastic trough protector fitted. However, balls still jam occasionally and need a little cab shake to make them fall into place. Is it likely the trough itself has become magnetised enough to cause the jamming? If so, any way to de-magnetise it? Seems first thing to try without buying a new trough. Ta.

Never heard of a trough getting magnetised. You say you have a protector fitted, why not give a little more slope to the trough to see if that cures the problem.

Check the trough base as the balls drop in over time make divots in the metal, give inside of trough a file ans sand.

if there is nothing physical stopping the ball travel, pack the side nearest the cab with washers to increase the angle.

It had crossed my mind to increase the angle, just thought it may affect the popper sending the ball into the shooter lane properly...

Checked for divots Dave and filed out any rough bits. The plastic protector sits on top anyway so gives a very smooth run... Going to try the washers first, cheers. I'd found nothing about magnetised troughs on the web either, although as one of few original parts still in my ToM, thought it was a possibility.....

Cheers.
