Sold LW3 - £750 - Ideal starter machine

For the regulars it's a LW3 for £750 which is pretty much enough said:) (guess you know what I'm making space for....)

However, I know we've got a lot of lurkers and potential buyers who view the site so here's some more details aimed mainly at them.

The good bits:

It's a DMD game under a grand, they are an increasingly rare breed these days. Plays well and in the 9 months I've had it there's been no real issues. All drop targets etc are fully working. Was used in the SE league earlier in the year and held up fine all day.
Has a range of video modes as well as a multiball
Ramps are metal rather than plastic, so no cracks etc
Playfield is in great condition (When buying your first machine this should be your focus)
Plastics are in good shape although there are slight cracks on the RHS slingshot cover. You'd have to be quite OCD to be worried about it though.
Cab is in good shape, a few scuffs on the headbox

Bad bits
Although the DMD is nice and strong the bottom row is out. Doesn't really matter but it cuts the bottom pixels off the words "free play" etc.
RHS drop targets are missing their stickers. These can be probably be sourced easily and cheaply (a word you don't often associate with pins)
The flasher dome at the top is red rather than the standard blue.

The game is actually better than the price suggests. It's more of a reflection of the amount that were made rather than game play. I'm not going to lie and ay it's up there with AFM but I'll be sad to see it go.

Based in central London but happy to work with Martin if you need a courier.

A great first game and great value. It was my first and I still miss it. Except for the okokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokokok.
 
Yeah I think a belingo might be a bit tight. It's 140 to the roll bar behind the driver seat to the door it's a 160 with the passenger seat down. But then I think the wheel arch is in the way. My friend my be able to help.

Either way. If he says I can have it, Ill find a way to collect it.
 
Yeah it not really a major problem....

I've driven a couple of hundred miles before with a pin hanging out the back of the car (in the rain!). Ive also lay in the back of my mates car holding onto a pin while he drove it 10 miles as it was more out than in his car :suspect: the things we do for pinball :tut:

Maybe you could put the machine in at a slight angle ? which would let it go over the passanager seat ,or even the gun/shooter over the passanger seat might be enough

I have picked up a couple of pins in a Citroen Berlingo van. Never had an issue fitting them in. Put it at a slight angle towards the passenger seat if you need a little bit more for a protruding launcher. But I have found it to be plenty big enough.

Same, have used Berlingo's to move a few pins so far, never had an issue.
 
I'm quite surprised it's such a squeeze in a Berlingo. My uncle's got one and I'd have thought it'd swallow a pinball whole! But I guess the devil's in the details. I'm hoping to squeeze 2 pins in my Vauxhall Zafira to take them to NLP. I think if I put them in on their sides then they'll just fit if they go in "69", so to speak ;) And then the back boxes can sit on top (backboxes are a doddle to take of old Bally's and makes them much lighter to move).

Only thing I'm not sure about is whether being transported on their sides will have any negative affects? I'm guessing not as they can be shipped in the upright "tombstone" position?

They'll be fine, the age of the games your bringing will have had a lot worse done to them over the years and they survived :D Just try and put something between them so they don't rub and bang against each other while you're driving...I find a load of old decorating sheets folded up to be very good for this :thumbs:
 
I've wanted one for a long time. I've got somewhere to put one now and it's a very reasonable price.
My local pool hall had an Avatar machine for a while. But then it went. Was shoved in the corner, next to the toilet. But it was a machine in walking distance.
I'll be a happy bunny when I get my own :)
 
Congratulations, great first game that one. Love the selectable music at the start too - "Everybody dance now!".
