Lotr flipper coil

Hi all,Interested to know peoples opinion on the enhanced coils.

Just got a lotr and believe it has the stronger flipper coils. The seller said they weren’t but the number on the sleeve is
090-5020-20T which while it doesn’t say lotr like on some is the same number which I believe relates to number of turns etc.

Anyway, playing the pin I’ve found that some shots when hit spot on catapult the ball like a rocket. An example being the left ramp. It’s a shot I find difficult but when hit right the ball fires round the tight bend and hurtles of the wireform and smashes where ever.
Also noticed it on the center ramp if slightly of line it will jump of in any random direction at high speed.

Just wondering if anyone had installed these coils and then gone back to stock.

I have but haven't used them yet, you can adjust the power in the settings low medium or high, try setting it to low

Didn’t know that 🤦‍♂️. Luckily I should have a manual waiting for me when home tomorrow so will look it up.

I only know because I saw someone adjust it, not because I realised it's there 😏

Chris I ordered some bits from pinball life on Tuesday and they’ve just been delivered!
Now that’s service.
 
The stronger flipper coils are needed to prevent flipper fsde/weakness during the long game times, don't replace them if you have them. There's nothing worse than reaaching destroy the ring then not being able to make the centre shot (to achieve it) because the flippers are too weak....

Have you got the game set up to the correct pitch/slope on the playfield as that will slow the balls down a fair bit..? Adjust the rear levellers to make it steeper and see if that helps...

I’ve basically set the table up to the integral spirit level. Is that good enough?

I’ve read about not being able to make the center shot in a long game.
I just feel the flippers are a bit too enthusiastic.
I can see why half the character model have lost their weapons etc lol

Ah good picks, didn't go for the sword handle then?

I have them all except for the led speaker kit. Let me know what it's like.

I had to be quite controlled with my shopping, easy to get carried away. Had to remove a few things when I got to checkout.
The sword handle was a step too far money wise,
Got the orange sword protectors from Colywobbles last week which look great and will do me.

Will do on the speaker kit 👍
