Hello!

Once again I was asked for help selling a bunch of machines, so bear with me :)
A friend of mine is looking to sell a lot of 24 pinball machines. The lot comprises the following:

APOLLO 13
BATMAN FOREVER
DEMOLITION MAN
DRACULA
DIRTY HARRY(speaker plastic changed w/johnny mnemonic)
DR.WHO
FLINSTONES
FRANKENSTEIN
FISH TALES
GOLDENEYE
HURRICANE
HOOK
JURASSIC PARK
JOHNNY MNEMONIC(speaker plastic changed w/dirty harry)
NO FEAR
NO GOOD GOLFERS(no translite, backbox stickers need change)
ROYAL RUMBLE
STARWARS TRILOGY
SPACE JAM
WHO DUNNIT(LITTLE WEAR)
WHITE WATER(no topper)
X FILES
XTREME FOOTBALL(no translite)
W.CUP 94(WEAR)
He is asking for €32,500.00 for the lot, which INCLUDES shipping to pretty much anywhere in Europe. Given the size and amount in question, prospective buyers are welcome to see it in person. The machines are stored about 70km from Lisbon, a quick trip by car from the airport.

Photos are available on request here: https://goo.gl/photos/NStfvk3usi1rogrJ7 .
If you are genuinely interested, please contact me and I will get you in touch with the seller.

Cheers!

didn't we have some other chump try and pull this stunt not so long ago?

Doesn't add up as a good deal anyway. Market a bit flat and some of the more valuable titles missing very expensive parts. Wh20 topper unobtainium

Agree - seems very expensive and it's as if it's the second lot with all the cherry titles gone elsewhere!

Yeah I definitely remember talk of a huge lot from France or somewhere a while back. Turned out to be nonsense...

Yes it was me who thought I had spotted something good which quickly turned out to be a scam. But at least the scammer had listed all top titles and there was no known price. Anyway this one is different or is it?

Hello, everyone!

If the price is off, feel free to send (reasonable) offers, but please bear in mind it does include shipping.
I'm being as transparent as I can. I do not own this lot, I'm just posting this as a favour for a trusted friend. Given the amount involved I wouldn't want to have any trouble. If you're interested I'll gladly send photos of the machines and give you all the details to contact the owner and that will be the extent of my participation.

Cheers!

People will think that this is a scam. We do not know you. Portugal is a LONG way away. There are plenty of pinball buyers in Europe much closer to the games than we are

To be taken seriously you would need to put decent quality photos up on the forum of all the games so condition can be assessed. Ideally with a video of the things actually working

Noone is going to travel to Portugal on the back of just a description

@DRD
Well, I understand why you (and everyone else) is sceptical.
I've uploaded the photos I was sent to a Google Photos album. You can check them out here: https://goo.gl/photos/NStfvk3usi1rogrJ7
Regarding proximity, the UK isn't actually that far compared with, say, Germany. Only Spain and France are somewhat closer. Shipping tends to be more or less the same regardless of destination (within reason, of course).
I've only mentioned the possibility of coming and seeing the machines in person because, frankly, it's a 2h30 flight and if you arrive early in the morning you'll be back home for dinner. Obviously, this would be at a later stage than, well, now :D

Again, if anyone is genuinely interested just send me an email or drop me a message and I'll forward it to the actual owner of the lot. You can work it out directly with him. Don't shoot the messenger, I'm just trying to help out a friend!

Do you really expect people to fly over to buy? How does anyone get them home to the uk.

Sell them in your own country. It'll be easier.

Would be shocked if anyone here buys one.

You'd be surprised! I'd say most pinball machines here are sold abroad, especially to France and Germany. Small market, you see. I wouldn't expect anyone flying over just to look at them but if you're keen on buying I'd expect you to do so. A 2h30 flight on a low cost carrier is hardly what I'd call expensive. You'd be home for supper! :)

Be worth it if it was top titles, but really who would bother as there is only a few good ones and that all depends on condition. You can buy all these in the uk. U less they are very cheap which buy the lot price, do t think so.

Loads of good games in that list. Not everyone is after the same old community approved trophy titleszzzzz. There is pinball life outside of Top 10 lists.[emoji4]

True I was clearly stating for 32,500 you would expect top titles. To be fair I have a few of the titles there in the list but for that price you must be joking!

Im not shocked you sell to neighbouring countries. Someone coming to you from France/Germany is a drive - but nobody on this forum will get on a plane and hire a one way vehicle loaded with pinball(s) they can buy within the UK.

I have only had people travel from overseas to buy TOP machines off me. Like new playfield/new decals games that cost £1000s - like CV, MM, MB, AFM etc (years ago).

Again - nobody is being forced to buy from you or not buy from you. I just think most will not.

This is an opportunity for an instant collection, and not a bad one either. I've owned 11 of those titles. I'm also not put off by the location. Its 100% condition and price, as that's £1350 a game and I'd need them all to be beauties for that. At €16,000 these would sell fast. At €20-24,000 they'll probably sell, slow, to someone rich and drunk. Good luck dude

Oh and my advice to your mate is to make a video of all games being turned on and one ball played with honest commentary, one by one. Probably do the lot inside one hour, stick it on youtube.

Chris' £3-400 each is a nice idea but most of us dont have access to those retiring and desperate old operators in poor countries with no web access who would sell for that.

Thank you all for the comments and tips. I'll forward them and if there's any change to the price, I'll update the post accordingly.

I love job lots . some great adventures in the past but the games have to be priced fair not going piece rate and knock 10% off. even if these were driven to my door and dropped off Id still only be looking about £500 each

I regularly used to get offered these at £300 to £400 from overseas operators but stop buying them as they are alway really ****ed and not worth the time and effort it only takes a dead dmd and rotten cpu in a game and you have lost money even at £300
