Hi, got a space upcoming for another pinball. Anyone got a SM that they are looking to move on. Never played one in the home environment and therefore looking for one.

Cheers Tony

There's a nice looking one on ebay, I messaged him about it, but he's holding out for 3800.

Yes, have been in discussion with him over the past couple of weeks. I'm not prepared to go as high as he wants though, and he won't come down.

No, it wasn't the guy near Brighton. Think you would have a hard job getting someone to part with an IM.

I have a IM lined up, like you say very hard to find machine, But totally worth it when you do.

3k sounds about right. Think you'd be lucky to get one for much less. Think I paid 2.7 for mine about 18 months ago and they've gone up a bit since then but not into truly stupid cash.

that guy in Hornsea with the SM (HUO only he reckons) also has LOTR said he might consider selling both... didn't give a price though. That Devon bloke in Brighton did have an SM on, but his looked far tattier, noticed he turned down an offer of 3k. It didn't sell on ebay, but he also has it on uk pinball owners database, and it's now listed as sold, I wonder how much for?.

I sold a genuine low play HUO SM earlier in the year for £3500 if that helps anyone.

What a great pinball value thread.

No argument or moaning, just sensible comments and facts from owners regarding realistic values. I had no idea of the street value of SM until I read this, as with all newish Stern games they don't come up for sale often enough to get an idea of value.

If we had a thread like this for each title we would be less likely to pay over-the-odds.

so.... start a few, i will happily chip in with what i paid for / sold for if they're ones i've had through the revolving tiki hut. in fact i was looking at my bank online today so decided to have a look through at the trades i've done over the last few years, and there's some good useful data in there. if we pool numbers, and nobody gets too precious about money, we could help folk out

oh, and to keep Paul happy ....
gif rude for paul 2.gif

Lets park the prices here for now: http://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/the-how-much-is-this-table-worth-thread.5286/
Every time I think we could put the effort into making a current chart with observed prices I realise we are making a rod for out own back. People aren't always open about how much they paid or something went for plus it can get out of date or not relevant very quickly. I am sure a format will develop if it is what people want so stick them in there.

Lloyd, thanks and it's really playing well!! .....Good to meet you at UKPP

No worries, it's always nice to meet people in the 'real world'!

I still miss it and will probably end up buying one for a lot more some day. Whichever games i sell seem to rocket up overnight (see STTNG, SM, BDK etc!)
