Lights out on back box

Help!! I have just turned our Bally Gameshow on and all the lower lights are out on the back box. Everything else seems to be working OK. What do I need to look at first?

First thing to check is the fuses on the interconnect board - thin one at bottom of backbox - one of the fuses will cover that GI string. Do you have a multimeter ? Remove fuses and check them with a meter.

If ok then you prob have a break somewhere in the chain - quite possibly at the header pins/connector on that interface board. They often overheat on those Sys 11 games.

J6 and J7 on the interconnect board. Check for signs of overheating. Give them a wiggle - if lights come back on def got cracked solder joint or loose wire in connector.

GrizZ!! You have solved it! It was a loose connection on J7.
