I'm looking to replace the rusty old legs on my EBD '81 version.
Thing is, the back are 28 1/2" but the front are 27". They all match and are the Bally un-ribbed style.

Is this normal for this machine, or did the operator fit an early Gottlieb pair, perhaps 'cause its what he had to hand or make it play faster, drain quicker etc.

Not sure it the legs are right but have you tried rubbing them down with tinfoil and Coke ?

Even just water and tinfoil makes a brilliant difference but wear gloves as the black oxide that is produced will stain your fingers for weeks.

No, but I remember seeing this suggestion before, possibly from yourself and was gonna try it then.
Anyway, these legs are shot, bent and possibly too short, but I'm going to try it as a test for the next rusty skip filler I pick up.

ta, Rob
