I would start by checking out the flipper opto boards. Swap them over as previously suggested. If the problem migrated replace the flipper opto board.

A weak opto board can cause vague switching causing the flip to be weak as the cpu sees the flipper switch being turned on and off rapidly during the flip.

Thanks, swapped the opto boards around this morning, same problem.
