I have just put a link in on w15 to set the game to European as it was missing and the knocker wasn't working.IMG-20151223-WA0007.jpegexcuse the blurry image.
Turned the machine on and it goes through the usual test report.
Only this time i get this come up20151223_212735.jpgi then press the start button to start a game and it says i have a pinball missing.
Can this be any relation to the link I've just put in?
Can't see how it could be really. I should of really tested the machine before i put the link in tonight but it's only been a couple of days since i last played it and thought it would be fine.
Thanks

are you sure you jumped the right link as I read it, it should be w16 according to the manual

but in the 4 combinations shown w15 is always in and w16 should be out for euro mode or am reading this totally wrong

ah that's strange Darren ..... why the fook did they do away with the dip switches it was much simpler,
all I can say is try reversing what you did check the error switches are working in switch edge test first though

check switches 85 left ramp enter 58 right trough 33 outhole 88 left bank top see if one of these switches is stuck on

Looks to be a lot of solder on there. You haven't created a bridge between two of the 0 ohm resistors have you ?

Well looking at the switch matrix you are showing 2 faults first switch 85 colum 8 row 5 reversing the row and colums numbers col5 row 8 and switch 58 is right trough switch (pinball missing) now because it's a matrix make an imaginary rectangle of the 2 switches and switch 55 and 88 make up the 4 corners it's usually one of these switches stuck or shorted causing the matrix to get confused

I will test the link out again tonight and take it out if i need to. Will see what happens. Obviosuly won't be doing too much on it tonight as I'm planning on being under the influence for the best part of the evening.

Probably cost-saving, though the DIL switch did re-appear on the later Wpc games.

Darren, the game should boot-up with the connectors for the playfield switches removed from the Cpu board, showing if a problem lies with the circuit board or out on the playfield itself (or in the wire harness). Any optic switches would show as 'Active/Open' though, and most games would react to 'missing' balls, make a ball search, etc. But altering the jumper pattern/switches should cause a factory reset, not a Test Report.

I used to get around the 'No Knock' problem by selecting 'Custom Pricing' and 'Custom Door' in the Pricing Adjustment menu. One of these (the 2nd, I think) makes the adjustment 'Coin Meter Units' visible; setting it to 'Off' configures the knocker drive for its proper purpose.

It did a factory reset and then a test report. I went into the settings to test the knocker and it was working. Tried to have a game and it told me i had a pinball missing and it went through it's cycle trying to find the ball. Switch it off and back on to see test report and those messeges came up. All I've done is had that single jump wire

Far too much solder on that, remove it and use a staple.

Finally got round to testing everything. Removed molex connectors and booted it up. "Check fuses x and y" cleaned the pins and refitted connectors and magic, all started up perfect. First thing i should of tried really;)
