Hi All

New to the forum, but hoping one of you may be able to help me.

I have a Judge Dredd pin that keeps resetting. After a varying amount of time on, the machine will do a full reset, like the power has been lost and turned back on again. After some reading I thought it may be the main power board so replaced it with this: https://www.pinballdisplays.co.uk/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=WDB089

However, the problem is still present. Does anyone have any advice on where to look next?

Thanks.

Firstly I’d look closely to make sure there is NO acid damage on the cpu board. No matter how small there shouldn’t be any.
Secondly I’d reseat the ribbon cable a few times between the cpu and yr new power board the cpu end certainly.

Thanks for the info. I have done this and currently it is on, just waiting to see if it resets still or not.

Can you provide a picture of your ribbon cables?

If they are old and chewed (crumpled and knackered) then I would start there.

If they are good, take them off, clean the connector headers from the MPU --> Flipperboard --> Sound Board --> DMD Driver Board

Also clean the headers from the MPU --> Driver Board

New ribbon cable set is about £40 from PBH.

I was also going to say check the caps and bridge rectifiers on your driver board but you already got a rottendog board.

My moneys on the ribbon cables/headers.
