Sold Judge Dredd For Sale

Selling my Judge Dredd.

I've owned this machine for about 23 years. During that time it has been in a dark room
Cabinet had knocks that you'd expect from a machine that has been out in pubs. Legs are rusty. Plays great, no errors,

This has the deadworld mod and the standard perspex ring, along with the firmware to put it back to standard (although I don't know why you'd want to do that).

Hi! Just signed up to the forum to ask about this - have been lurking for a while but never posted. I love Judge Dredd and wouldn't mind doing a bit of restoration work on the legs and cabinet, but am I right in thinking this is missing the eagle topper?

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the missing topper , if it is missing. I’d say at least half the JD I’ve seen over the years don’t have the topper . Back in the day it was easily damaged or removed by operators.

Yes, the topper is missing. Thanks Sgt GrizZ for the link. This comes with the original rom and deadworld ring which holds the balls for multiball and the rom & ring that went into production. I think the original plan looks much better but theres the choice of either

In honesty I'm looking to buy my first machine and am a little nervous about the whole thing. I've played a decent amount of JD and have been doing a little research to be aware of the various upgrades and common issues. I've been watching a couple of other Dredds (one on eBay, two on FB) but getting replacement parts, doing the maintenance and applying a little TLC are a big part of why I want to start collecting (so long as it plays great!), so this might be perfect for me.

The topper has a habit of going out of stock so grab one now. The shiny repro looks better than the dull original

Yeah, no dramas from me on this. Happy to be transparent and say that I've offered the asking price and glad to see it looks like you'll have a buyer either way @andrewsa. You wait four months and then two come along at once I guess!

I think this is unlikely to fall through from my side now as I'm pretty happy with the discussion so far.

Really appreciate all the extra info like this people are providing. Making me think I was completely right to come here and get involved with a proper community rather than go through eBay, Facebook, Gumtree etc..

I have created an exact replica from an original piece, but it's made of solid resin; it truly was a labour of love. I have sold one and currently have three more cast, once assembled and painted, I will place them up for sale. I plan to complete them once the temperature rises a bit, as my workshop isn't heated.

Looks beautiful! I've seen that there are quite a few upgrades for Dredd that look great but really are just 3d printed, sometimes with some very simple lighting elements. I'm also tempted to make my own (and share the STL files) rather than drop $200.
