JJP Harry Potter -Confirmed

I would expect the arcade won’t have all the toys, lower mechanical BOM to make it easier to maintain on location. Seems that they’re basically emulating the Stern trim levels.

Radcals on the top 2 tiers I think, normal decals on the arcade. Arcade is most appealing to me but need to see the game.
Me too, especially a £2 to £3k price difference, if the arcade turns out what it might be, I think they have a massive massive hit.

Although I do love to waste alot of money on shiny bits of plastic, rubbers and bling 🤭🤣

I want a Party Zone / Fun House style rotating and talking Harry Potter Sorting Hat in the centre of this one, calling me a hufflepuff if I miss shots.

But on a serious note - HP is such a big IP the gameplay potential is endless.

Wow, impressive. So I’d hazard a guess:

Arcade - base level
LE - Arcade + cosmetic upgrades like powder coat, nicer speakers, maybe a basic topper?
CE - LE + topper (or better topper if the LE gets one too), fancy backglass?

Still struggling to see where the $5k comes from but NIB world is wild

Evil Dead was $9999, and landed here at £10995, so would expect similar.
That looks about right. I see Texas Chainsaw is about that too. No disrespect to Spooky who have made good looking machines but as long as HP is a good game sales should be at a different level.

1000 percent, Texas and evil dead is a no from most wife's and girlfriends (obviously not all!) and if young kids are about for most a hard no.

Any rumored dates for getting to see this, then?

Should be at least one in the UK by the end of June as it supposed to be at the Pinball Heaven evening event after the open day.

Knapp arcade has reported that production is just about to start after completion of Avatar.

Neil has asked me to post

"Several Harry Potters in Europe ahead of EPC tournament unveiling at the end of the month in Austria! - games don't have code!"

Perhaps this is the new way forward launch day zero code, stern have been doing it recently with reduced code so Jersey jack will be ahead of the curve 😉

"Should be at least one in the UK by the end of June as it supposed to be at the Pinball Heaven evening event after the open day." I think Phil said HP will be there hopefully the sauce and the game !!

Maybe without code, it appears the code is stuck with JK Rowling, she has to approve it and apparently there things she wants changed, according to Knapp arcade.

Was reading the Mirco thread on pinside.
Supposedly Kaneda has said Mirco is doing both HP playfield versions and no more Bader as they couldn’t produce them fast enough 😯

I find that so hard to believe!

Imagine how many Harry Potter video games there are. Do you think the billionaire Rowling has time, or wants, to review all the code.

Not so much the code but apparently shes very protective of the Harry Potter IP, it'll be down to what assets are being used and how they are presented.

Yeah, I know she is protective and I assume someone will review it, but she will have a team for that, it won’t be her!

That's what I meant obviously she not reviewing lines of python or c# or what ever other language it's coded in🤣

Its how the assets are used and presented, harry being bashed by a ball and moving to silverian I suspect.

She will have ultimate sign off regardless, which will most likely be in the form of an executive summary 😉🤭

Most of the video games aren't actually based on harry potter, hogwarts is the castle and magic, every thing else is made up by the developers. The only game I can think of that actually based on the movies/books in gaming is the Lego version.

Have you not played the three GameCube Harry Potter games, all are based on the books and films.

My point was I think it’s bull**** that the game / code is delayed because JK Rowling is waiting to see it. All assets and music has been secured, so I cannot see there would be a delay.

I think JJP are letting King Kong ‘hype’ burn itself out and then they will unleash this!
