i have a gottlieb victory 1987,does any one know of any repair/service guys in the lancashire area? pinball heaven in preston wont touch it as itsa gottlieb?

Hi thanks for reply I've just acquired this and I have lights on playfield and back glass but no score lights and it's not starting s game think it's been stood for a while.....
still cant find any body to look at my gottlieb victory 1987 pinball,pinball heaven who are local to me do every other pinball bar a gottlieb,? im guessing there a specialist job.....can any one help?? im near blackpool ...

repair guide is a good starting place but not sure how well it covers gottlieb? voltages and fuses is a good place to start, not sure this covers yours?

Yes I can transport no problem I have a self drive hire company so plenty of vans ti choose from lol just can't find anybody with in 200 miles
From your fault description it certainly sounds like the game isn't booting up. Have you checked the boards in the backbox ?
I have never seen inside a Gottlieb game, do they have batteries for saving the settings and high scores ? If so, check these for leaking.

It's a system 80b so first check that there's no battery leakage on the MPU board, then have a look at the connectors into and out of the power board and onto the MPU to see if any look obviously knackered.....maybe post some pics up here.

Yep Batteries and connectors are normally the problem areas. I would see about getting a new system 80b MPU from @myPinballs. I suspect it would work almost straight away.

No score display means the cpu board is most likely not running. The best way to sort this out is check the 12v, change the 12v filter cap, then upgrade the 5v regulator to a fixed voltage design. Once that is done fit one of my new cpu boards and you will most likely be up and running, and any other fault you then get i would most likely be able to identify the cause for you. Over 30 80b games now fixed this way

Didn't hear back from this guy, so not sure whether his game got fixed or not ? I'll be starting my next few 80b board assemblies in the coming weeks along with more s&t sound boards so get in touch @harleycoast10 if you are still having problems.
