So my broken arm was assessed today and due to the fact my hand feels like a dead man’s thumb has been sown on during the operation they seem a little concerned and may have to go in there again 😳
So after a few more X-rays and redressing of my stinky bandage assessing the wound they have got me straight in with a wrist specialist tomorrow to see what can be done without another op 🤞
Although I’m managing to get my jobs done on Berth wait a little help from a mate be buggered if I can play more than a game or two without the revenge of my body system telling me to stop making me drop copious amounts of pain killers to alleviate the terrible pain.
All this and NERG approaching ever so fast 😞
I was hoping a week or two and I’d be right as rain but this healing malarkey when you get old seems to take it’s time 🤪

On the upside I’m now part bionic so my play skills may eventually go up.

Bloody hell Col, not good!

That plate work looks reminiscent of what they fitted to my ankle 15 years ago, since removed.

I hope all mends well and wish you a speedy recovery.

Mate there was an old fella in a stretcher next to me both his arm and leg were bent 90deg the opposite way and the bone in his arm was sticking out his bicep.

Goes without saying you must rest that arm, and your right there is always someone worse off than you no matter how bad we think we are.
Once you start going to the hospital it never stops, treat as an M.O.T otherwise it will get to you.
Marsden tomorrow and Thursday they got me.

In my defence it’s not the contraptions fault but the feckin idiots who decided to dig a trench that couldn’t be seen due to them leaving it till the grass grew around and inside. I hit the trench at a 45 deg angle doing about 25mph and the rest as they say is history.
I did carry on another 41mi till my battery ran out though so hit my longest run to date at 66mi.
A mate broke his ankle falling in a rabbit hole, another was in a 3 month coma off a motorcycle accident and last month my big son (33) fell off his bike hitting a pothole.
Accidents happen and after 3000ki on my contraption I’ve come to the conclusion it’s safer than any other form of transport walking included 😂
However to make sure I’m safe next time I will soon be taking delivery of my new contraption which has suspension 😉

well if you do go it on that contraption it won’t be long before you have a matching set of pins in your wrists 😂😅👍🥩💥
 
So the op wasn’t a great success and it seems I need another op asap so I’m booked in Friday afternoon 😳
I should manage to get Johnny to NERG in the morning but not sure if I will manage to pick it back up.

Know that feeling... Gone from no issues at all 12 months ago to Gout (Deffo not good/rich foods... is Hereditary) and blood pressure medication, alongside the getting old aches and pains...

I used to have one of the original Airwheels... Nowhere near as fast as the modern ones, and deffo without a lot of the new gadgets (Gyros were in their infancy on things like this)... Was a great blast!

My head thinks i'm 22 and can do anything (and still stupidly take it on), and then my body rejects me....

Thx man all seemed to go well however I’ll not know for another 16hrs as my arm has a 24 hr block so can’t feel a thing and arm strapped to me as it’s totally lifeless.

More the worry is the wife just been knocked off her motorbike on way home from work.
Just heard from her they letting her go with damaged leg and bruising so been lucky.
Police got the Uber driver concerned.
Hopefully she grabs me some food on way home I’m starving 😂

Nightmare, good to see your Mrs rides motorcycles, that’s cool. Glads she’s ok…
Tried to get my Mrs into bikes but has terrible hand-eye coordination.
Ref your arm mate, think you would be better to just get it lobbed off.
When you do let us know how much you want for your DP LE 👍
