Wanted Invisiglass

I can get museum grade toughened glass from my local glass supplier "Carlisle Glass". They order it in so must be available in UK. £90 for a pin size piece.

Whilst i have not personally ordered any (yet). In the process of getting quotes.
I have contacted and been supplied a quote of £96 from Carlise Glass (Carlisleglass.co.uk) for 43"x 21" x4mm.
Museum glss they refer to 4mm Optiview ultra Dual Coated toughened, non reflective glass.
(Which gives 1% light reflectance).

Price is based on an order of 7, therefore maybe higher or lower for different quanties.
Does not included cost of delivery. Naturally free to collect, Carlisle area.

I have contacted 4 other glass manuafacturers and await their responses.
HTH.

Thought pin glass is 5mm thick ??
I believe it’s 6mm, I had a pin with 5mm glass and it would fly off as soon as I removed the lock bar, felt noticeably thin and light.

….edit: 5mm must be standard & 4mm was the thin stuff

5mm isn’t a standard thickness here and more difficult to source. 4mm feels really thin. I’ve got a couple of games with 4mm and it feels really flimsy.

Standard thickness is 3/16" usually, we can't get that as it's 4.76mm so nearest equivalent is 5mm

4mm doesn't sound like a good idea to use

Apologies. Cost needs to include VAT. Making £115.20 each.
I will be collecting a sample in the next couple of weeks to see how it goes.
Take on baord the 4mm depth debate. Be interesting to see how it turns out.
