Ok. I’ve got next to zero knowledge about sterns Insider Connective thingy but it appears I’ve got one installed on a game.

How do you actually get the bloody thing to work?

If I go into settings it finds a weak WiFi signal. I click connect and then bugger all happens. It thinks about it and then says “failed to connect”

Do I have to do something to register the machine first on Stern’s site?

I’ve got a feeling that the initial registration might be problematic due to the low WiFi signal but it’s not exactly like I can pop upstairs with the game.

The whole interface where you type in a WiFi code has already seriously ****ed me off 😂 not especially keen on the reader on the apron either.

I’m assuming you can still download new code off their website rather than having to use WiFi.

You can still update with a memory stick.
The usb wifi used in sterns is pretty rubbish. Would take ages to download a 8gb file if you are connecting with poor signal.

You have to start an insider account and then register the machine.

I personally can not stand them, I think they look hideous on the apron. Would rather have a discount than have one of those. I do have 2 old fashioned stern pro aprons just in case I end up with one of these systems.

Saying that - plenty of people think it is amazing......
