2 burnt connectors on my WPC Powerboard on Hurricane.
Never had a power board out before. Labelled all the connectors and had a look.
Replaced the 2 headers. Bit tricky as J115 had one of it's lower pads burnt off completely, buzzes out to final destination. They all buzz out, better go back and check them.
On turn on, the DMD is blank. I get the bong, the MPU looks good, flashing LED.
All the voltages look good on power board. All LEDs lit.
Ribbon back in and the right way.
I didn't go near the DMD.. I re-pinned J115 and J120 and reflowed J102. Maybe too much reflow.
I hate myself, it was all working, why did I mess with it?! Idiot.
AC power to DMD board fine, no 5v or 12v at the J604. I'm wondering where J604 power comes from on the power board, as 5v and 12v are good at test points..
Any help very welcome, other than the suggestion to stop being a dick and messing with something that is basically working.
Looking at schematics for Powerboard. It looks to create its own 5v and 12v with BRs on the board?!
