This week is the IFPA19 World Championships being held at Jim Belsito's home in California!

For the first time in many years we have 3 UK competitors battling it out with the 80 best players in the world. They are Andy @PUP Nick @mufcmufc and Josh @Czard

Super excited to follow their progress throughout the tournament. For those who don't know, this is the absolute pinnacle of pinball competition, it's a massive achievement to even qualify for the tournament and obviously a huge financial and logistical undertaking to get out there to play, so let's get behind our guys and support them!

Everything will be streamed on Karl Deangelo's amazing twitch channel IEPinball.

I have attached the streaming schedule below. We are 8 hours ahead, so plan accordingly!

Karl has also put together an awesome finals bracket which can be found here

You will also be able to follow along with the bracket on the front page of ifpapinball.com and also in matchplay, I'll post a link when it's available.

This place could do with some positivity, so lets support our guys out in California! LETS GOOO!!

IMG_9807.jpegIMG_9806.jpegWent to AYCE Gogi last night and met up with @PUP

Played, Wick, LT, PF (forgot pic), Labyrinth and EJ (tilted 40m+ bonus oops) Games all great condition and mainly 50c

Was absolutely knackered though and only managed 3 hours sleep last night. Hoping to sleep tonight, roll on Captains tournament tomorrow in Anaheim, think we should all be there. Starts 3am uk time

Cheers Craig, I’ll post updates when I can of how everyone is doing and how games are going for those not on stream

Josh’s warm up was at Bar Eighty Two where he kindly GCd their Pulp Fiction, so many places around with pinball machines!

Looking forward to meeting up with Nick and Andy tomorrow at Captain’s

Thanks for the thread!
Have a great time everyone who has gone, I'll be watching as much streams as I can!

Good luck guys, will be keeping an eye on progress as much as possible.

@roadshow16 thanks for posting this as I would have missed this event going on!

It kicks off tonight with the Epstein cup. This is pinballs version of the Ryder Cup, taking the 8 highest ranked US players and the 8 highest ranked players from the rest of the world and them battling it out. No wppr's, just pride and fun. Andy was in team Europe last time in Germany and played really well, unfortunately he missed out on making the team by one spot this year which is a real shame, but still will be great fun to watch 😊

We’ve arrived:

Josh, Nick and Andy got 90min of practice this evening to get an idea of how the machines are playing.

General consensus is they’re pretty fair, most can be moved a bit except for Flash Gordon which you can’t breathe on!

First session starts at 10am PST tomorrow which is 6pm UK time

Jim has a custom built outbuilding which is an amazing space on two levels
