Hungarian Pinball Open 2025 - Budapest (Oct 24th - 26th/27th)

I know of at least 4 UK people so far planning to go to this, there are probably more, but it sounds brilliant!

Up to 4 days of top tournament action at the end of October.

Friday/Saturday (main comps) -- entry for both comps 45 Euros total

1) The main Hungarian Open at 300% TGP - 13 rounds of 4 player matchplay - top 40 qualify (150WPPRs last time, likely more this time)
2) The Best game/High score tournament -(possible 300% TGP) play 30-36 high score games, top 26 scores count! top 32 qualify - 300% TGP here too if there are 128+ players

Sunday/Monday (side/optional comps)

3) Side comp - 3x5 qualifying games rounds - top 16 qualify (192% TGP)
4) After party - (200% TGP)

The DPO is heavily subscribed and will be excellent - but if you are on the waiting list and/or prefer more guaranteed tournament action against other players from across Europe, this is the event for you!

Full details in the link above/event itself.

I know we have the UK events diary so it would be nice if there was a European/North American diary too? All the usual suspects - Dutch Pinball Open, Hungarian Open, Indisc, Yegpin, The Beast etc...

There is a calendar of events of the IFPA website, but strangely this ones not listed on there currently.

Events only get listed in the calendar when someone submits a tournament registration (should be visible 30 days before the event at the latest) and there's no guarantee that a submitted tournament will go ahead.

Oh and the Hungarian Open is normally a great tourney, usually tied in with an Arcade event in a large hall/venue a couple of miles from the pinball museum. Hotels tend to be very at reasonable rates.

That's good to know! You coming along Pete? :)

For those interested - reminder that registration opens TOMORROW AT 7pm UK / 8PM CEST.
