How to remove fuse holder in main switch box

Remove Fuse, De-solder wires, fold "fins" in as far as you can, unscrew and drag through the hole....

Looks like someone is getting there power box chrome plated.
Ive got a spare chrome one, so just have to swap the internals over , I've got a bench polisher on its way , (my arms are aching too much with going through all the grades of wet and dry ), so I,ll be polishing everything else then put a thin clear coat on to try and protect / stop corrosion . might look at chroming / zinking after , it depends what the carbon steel comes up like ;)

If you have a good polishing wheel then they will come up as good as being chromed.

But as Paul has said getting all the metal plated works out way cheaper and is a great finish. Like it was originaly done at the factory.
