How to edit a thread

Hi I have been trying to edit a thread I posted but can’t seem to work out how to ?? Please could help me out

Is there not a edit link at the bottom left of your post

Not that I can see there is one at the top but doesn’t give me a drop down and only allows to edit the top description of it not the complete write up
