How consistent are you?

The key is to play harder games.. For example Alice Cooper requires precise shots.. So after playing it at length I find some of my other pins a lot less tricky. But these games are frustrating for newbies!

I think my play got better the most because of solid state games. There is a purity about the games and it’s much more about shot accuracy, seawitch, meteor and alien poker all helped with accuracy and remember the more you hit a shot well the more you have control out of that shot.

It's funny you should say that, Neil (in a good way) Part of the reason I love your Alien Poker at Pinball Republic is because I also found it a relatively pure way to practice accurate shots. Having (for the moment) stopped trying to source my own Alien Poker, I'm using Flash Gordon for the same purpose - shooting at the Wood Beast drop-down targets, etc. over and over again. With Flash Gordon, you're forced to cradle and aim because the pop bumpers on the lower playfield are lethal if you lose control of the ball!

I had a period of practicing cradling and shot accuracy too much on the late 70s/early 80s pins, and stopped being able to make any shots that involved a moving ball (esp. Godzilla, which seems designed to limit cradling)! Luckily, I've started to reverse that now!
