Home security for parents

So having spend the last few weekends moving my pins to me (instead of being at my parents place - tho i have a load of work to do before they are set up again!), and then moving my parents who are both in their mid-late 80's into somewhere smaller, closer and more managable, my mind has now turned to thinking about how to keep them safe!
(after i fix myself - I now have muscles on muscles, and pain that i never realised existed!).
I have broadband (something new for them) being installed this week, so am looking to bring them up to date - so to speak!

I'm thinking about throwing in a decent video doorbell and also getting a few cameras around both inside and out, just in case pops decides to fall over (again!) and also thinking about some kind of panic system where they can alert me (tho not essential).
Has to be something that I can manage remotely, however also something that is "user friendly" (Bearing in mind parents are at the age where Tech is alien to them!).
There's so many "eco-systems" out there...

Any suggestions?

Hiya. My mum lives on her own and was worried about falling. I set her up with this system https://acticheck.com/
Firstly, it’ll alert me (then escalate to others, and ultimately a call centre if I don’t answer) if she takes a fall. It can also be setup for for check ins where she has to press the button when she wakes in the morning (can be set for any time). Also works as a panic alarm by pressing the buttons on the side.
It can also pair with an app so works outside of the house. Theyre a small company, uk based, and very responsive. Obviously, she has to wear a pretty ugly band on her wrist. Not too expensive and ongoing costs are tied to band replacement.
