Hey There, don't kmow if anyone can help! I 've had an issues with my Haunted House for a while and has played fine up title now. I noticed that when I replaced the old lamps for LEDs in the back box a few of the controlled leds stayed on(tilt/ match/ ball in play) when the machine was turned off!!! they never go out after I've turmed the machine off! now I have the playfield extra ball light on constantly and my sounds are all in the wrong order. All of these controlled lights appear to be in the same series. My main worry is that it looks like I have power leaking through to these leds when the game is off. Would this be through the on/off swicth or could it be connected to the transformer? it looks like i'm getting aboout 3v over 4 lamps, 3 in the backbox and the extra ball on the playfield. I also get the up kicker from the basement firing when I turn the machine off and on. I've have a manule but have limited knowledge about how to read them. The game does power up fine, but since the extra ball light is on everything is out of sequence. I tested the relays and they appear to be fine. any ideas would be great?

I think that you are inviting problems by putting leds in an old girl like this.

The gottlieb boards were not designed for LEDs and even tiny voltage leakages through imperfect transistors can cause ghosting.

I think that gottliebs like yours might have a transformer that is constantly on, even when the power switch under the cab is "off".

I tested power drain on my games a while ago ....

When "turned off" by the under game switches my lot was consuming current as follows:

Scared Stiff: 0.078a
Funhouse: 0.033a
Fish Tales, Addams, Banzai, Transporter and Genie: 0.015a
TZ and Whirly: 0.014a
ACDC , Paragon, Centaur, Fathom: 0

The total current draw was 0.214a. Over the course of a year ...0.214a = 51.36w, per day = 1.23 kWh, per year = 450 kWh. As electricity costed around 14p per kWh, total pinball standby cost = £63 or so."

In your shoes I would replace leds with incandescents and turn the game off at the wall switch when not in use.

OK, GREAT, thanks for this, wow, I'll definitely start turning my pins off at the wall! I still have all the old lamps so will put them back and see if that helps,
I have the modern flippp all in one driver and a new aux lamp board install , but I've only had these problems since I replaced the backbox with leds.
I'll let you know how it goes. thanks again.

I've swapped back out the leds for the orignal lamps, so no ghosting now, think that was a bit of a red herring for my other issues! but now as before the extra ball lamp
is constantly on and my sounds are still in the wrong order. I think I've tracked the extra ball lamp issue to the A3J2 board connector, it looks the L8 (the extra ball lamp) is going to ground,
I've ordered another couple of ULN2803 Ic's to replace the ones on the Flippp driver board, but would this ground pin mess my sound up? again, any advice would be great.
