I have problems with Halloween.
It roots appear to be in a pagan celebration, which included some elements of remembering the dead.
In attempts to turn people to Christianity, the original idea was turn to All Saints Day and the worship of the old ways was frowned upon.
Then it was heavily commercialised and now kids beg in the street for sweets mocking the original intent.
I love a good fright night, haunted house and those flickering bulbs are awesome. But 'All Hallows Eve' (The Eve of All Saints Day), sticks in my throat of old world appropriation and misunderstanding.
