no the playfield pretty solid. It's very very minor as all guns are if you take them apart (except perhaps the later ones) once the posts are back in you can't see any thing and to be honest there really isn't any damage at all. It's under a microscope super duper fussy. I was actually surprised how great the playfield is, after the horror stories said about them. It was on site for a bit so definitely not home use only. It's getting a full strip down, re rubber, full flipper rebuilds with new coils and a new record sticker and cliffy. It will look and play like new when finished
