I agree mate. I’ll reflow them. The pins are tricky to clean aren’t they.

I have absolutely no idea how the coil went. It was fine then it wasn’t. It stopped working which is what prompted me to check voltages. I had voltage at both lugs.

In yesterday’s test I could hear a feint pulse in solenoid test.
Today nothing. Checked voltage. Nothing on one of the lugs (can’t remember now which one) pulled the coil out and its open line.

The lug which had the brown cable will not have had power anymore. Please check if the coil wire is still securely attached to the lugs. It the coil the right type? Should have 10-20 Ohms resistance. The fact you heard it pulsing in solenoid test makes me think it worked - please ensure the mechanical side is working.

One of the strands had snapped on the coil. But even reattached it still reads open.

Ok, make sure you strip the varnish well, easy to get that wrong and have no contact. You can unwind a bit of wire if needed.

If it wasn’t for the other issues going on d obviously persevere with this one but might as well see how the board tests whilst it’s away.

It’s this Vs driving a four hour trip and picking up the other corvette and swapping the boards over to narrow it down.

Let’s see what is found. Sounds like headers on the slave plus some issue with the coil. Keep us posted.
