Gottlieb system 3 power up

still progressing with my Gottlieb system 3 pin sound issues and just got a new main sound board. Finally gives me more sound but in still missing some and it wont play any sounds during the sound test. I do get a high pitched tone on start up which i never had before but its only one tone. am i right in saying i should get 2 tones? Also, would this be taken from the sound eproms on the main board?

Yep, there should be 2 different pitch noises on start up...

Bugger. mine deffo only has one.

Does each board produce a tone so it tells you each one is working or do both come from the main board? Also are these on the EPROMs or on the board itself? Im hoping they are on the EPROMs and its just a case of getting a new set.

Do the test tones in the service menu come from the EPROMs also as i cant hear any of those.

Sorted guys, finally have full sound. it was the Yamaha sound generator chip on the aux board, had a spare, swapped it out and 'bing bong', were in business!
