Gottlieb flipper switch

I'm helping repair a Gottlieb EM. Owner has sent me photos of one of the faults:

The flipper buttons connect to a switch by pushing a wire round (really weird!)



On left side the wire has broken:


The machine isn't near me and I want to arrive with some wire ready to fix it.

Does anyone know what type/gauge this wire is please?
