Nice one Paul, I have just bought a cheap printer and still a bit wet behind the ears with it! In terms of types of plastic etc, only have black PLA at the moment, but will be doing a sys 1 re pin etc

Cheers Ronnie

Yeh I tried printing one off yesterday... Wasnt the best - Really needs a resin printer due to the detail....

I've ordered some Printed from jlcpcb.com using the above STL's in resin - due to arrive on 28th, so will let you know... postage costs more than the prints!!!

Ah, won't be buying a resin printer lol, yeah let us know the results, Not had a good look yet but the actual plugs look ok but pins will be tired!

I have the proper removal tool.... the old pins are in there like they are glued in!!!

I seen the tool for that, I will try and fabricate something, maybe from a microswitch wire!

My brother gave me his old Elegoo Mars resin printer earlier in the year. I found that whilst it could achieve fine resolution, it was more art than science getting it to print what I'd modelled - so multiple print fails, that each took hours to complete. I gave up on it and binned it in the end, it just seemed like very immature tech still rather than something of real practical use. I'm not sure if brands aimed at professional use are better though.

The one exception to this was if you could just download a model which someone else had made and already gone through all the failures with, so it was known to just work (this scenario never happened for me, but my brother has downloaded and printed lots of board game models like this).

On the left, Resin printed.... on the right (Ignore the base as it's not been tidied up) 3D printed @ 0.7mm detail.

Just goes to show how much of a superior print Resin is when done properly on small items!

Certainly did Bob.... I have a few spares depending on what connector you are looking to replace?

looking to make a replacement mpu to driver board cable (A1 to A3)
these housings take the commonly available 0.156 crimps?
