Hi all.
Noticed the right flipper wasnt making as loud a clonk as the left, no loss of power, so done some investigating found loads of brass filings in the bottom of the cab.
Ive stripped the flipper down there is slight evidence of filings around the coil. What would you advise I need to fix this problem? Full flipperkits and coils? Is there anywhere else they could have come from.
Cheers Lee.

Thanks. Ill Get some orderd up. Where have the filings come from?
It’s the end stop (the metal bracket that holds one end of the coil). The plunger hammers down onto the end stop and they slowly mushroom over time and need replacing or literally fall apart (as yours has). The replacements will last a lot longer though, the Stern ones are often failing after a short period.

Williams No Fear can suffer badly with this, on the upper flipper. Because it's so high up, a special bush is used. It's metal rather than plastic, with brass inserts at the ends. The one work owned shredded the brass inserts, allowing appalling sloppiness in the flipper. A replacement was, as I recall, around the £30 mark.
