After 9 years in storage I have done a semi refurb job on my Funhouse.

Time for switch on the machines volume was very high with interference and the unit gradually filled with smoke, on investigation the sound board had blown c28 & c46 on the -12v rail.

I have bought some 1uf 35v Tantalum Bead Caps to replace c28 & c46 also c47 as it got burnt by c46. I have also bought a 7912 & 7812 just in case.

I want to replace D1 - D4 just in case but cannot identify the part number, the Williams manual quotes MR501 3A but I cant find these.

Can anyone suggest a different part number for suitable replacement diodes D1 - D4.

Thanks

Phil

Beyond me.

Andy Netherwood at Pinball Mania will be able to fix it. Post the board to him.

The board still works the sound went back to normal, I just don`t like burnt caps on the board. The change of the other components are just a precaution.

Thanks Banzaipinball :clap:I saw the 1N5401s and was going to try them, seem to have lost my nerve with electronics over the years :) I do too much throw the board away and replace these days.
