For Sale

A 1999 Bally Revenge From Mars

History

I purchased RFM for £3,700 from @Kenny Taylor back in August 2022 as our 2nd machine. Everything has been fine with the machine and I have had to do nothing to it and is fully working.

In my ownership

I did plan to do a flipper rebuilt and change the rubbers and the T-moulding on the backbox, but didn't get round to doing that, but it still plays great the same as the day I received it.

Machine notes and Condition

I see plenty machines here for sale, the condition descriptions seem to be all over the place at times and sometimes not listed. So, in my opinion I have listed the conditions on the scale - Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor, Very Poor. I am however very particular and fussy when it can come to describing the condition on stuff (something is not in excellent condition if it has the slightest mark on it), so viewing is always highly recommended.

Backbox - Overall Condition is Very Good/Good

Overall nice condition, there are some light scuffs and marks particular on the edges and the T-moulding is a little faded. I have just noticed that one of the head bolt fixings is missing, easily replaced and is very secure with the other three, it ain't moving freely thats for sure.

I believe this is running a fully original PC inside, an LCD monitor is fitted replacing the original CRT screen, reflections on the playfield glass from the monitor are nice and clear. Speakers are fully working and sound great. Has original translite fitted.

Cabinet - Overall Condition is Very Good/Good

Overall nice condition, there are some light scuffs and marks particular on the edges. There are some wrinkles on the artwork material around the legs, but overall nice and looks good with the red painted legs.

Cabinet Glass - Overall Condition Very Good/Good

Two or three and light scratches but nothing major here and overall likely nicer than I give it credit for.

Cabinet Internals - Overall Condition Very Good/Good

Nothing hacked or bodged up in here, everything very tidy although could do with a dust like anything else. There is a lid cover over the cabinet PCB, this is not original.

Playfield - Overall Very Good/Good

Nice conditioned playfield is nice, though some wear in the shooter lane. To make it near excellent some light cleaning and rubbers and post changes would make it near perfect.

Playfield Switches Flippers, Switches, Lighting, Coils etc - Overall Very Good/Good

No errors ( lamp errors are raised, but this is due to having LEDs fitted believe) All switches, flippers etc all working. There was one of those small metal centre posts fitted below the flippers, I have removed this and placed a small plastic cover over this (its not glued so no issue) The little post can be re-fitted if you are as crap as me at pinball.

Other

The machine has Mypinballs software Rev 2.24 installed and has the LED saucer mod. The machine comes with keys and manual and also the cable for adding a shaker motor, there is a couple spare plastics for the playfield also.

I think I have covered most things… (I'll tweak the listing when I go over things more) but plenty more to discuss if anyone is interested. This is a genuine honest sale and I would also like the buyer to come see the machine first. Collection is from Fife, Scotland. Due to my work I can never really plan to be home on certain days unfortunately and not available every weekend. And for that reason, I do not want to use a courier (Martin) or likewise so this is collection only. I should have a free weekend the last weekend in March and also off work for a week the beginning of April.

I appreciate that by not having the option to use a courier (Martin) this will most likely reduce any interest by quite a bit. Though this is a great game and I really enjoy it actually, so if it doesn't sell I will be happy to keep it.

Lots of photos will be uploaded very soon (not enough natural light just now) but here is a couple for now. But if you need anymore info just drop me a message.

The cabinet art is virtually unmarked. As far as I’m aware it’s the original decals. If not it’s been done to a very high standard. Probably the best RFM that’s been for sale in a long time..

Thanks for the input Kenny. It really is a nice machine 👍

I think you’re being very pernickity scott. Lovely looking machine and plays great 👍🏻 really enjoyed the games I played on it. Best of luck with it really nice pin for someone 😁
Yes Alan I am very pernickety at time. But if there is a buyer, they will be more than pleased with I would think.

RFM collected and site donation made.

I also sold on my Time Machine the other day also, happy to say both TM and RFM are staying in the community, and also staying up in Scotland.
