Fishtales with all the trimmings. Had a lot of fun with this one, and really went to town with the Lollypops additions, as I'm sure you'll see with the videos. Took a punt and went with a chrome apron with this one (and modified decals) and so glad I did, a massive improvement over the dull blue of the original.

Main bits

* New playfield
* New plastics
* New ramp
* Chrome armour, legs, door, and apron with custom apron decals
* CPR real glass mirrored backglass
* Full comet LEDs
* New decals, cabinet & warning
* Wire wrapped cabinet cables & transformer
* 4 x Lollypops boards - pops, slings, targets, spinner and lock shot (see videos)
* Afterglow Nano (inserts)
* Afterglow GI
* Colour DMD (pin2dmd)
* Zinc plated everything
* Full supermint once over - nothing left unmolested

Incidentals

* New flipper bats + full flipper rebuild
* New leg brackets, metal leg protectors, zero wrinkles
* New pop body, skirts, caps, and rings
* New star posts
* New rubbers
* New flappy mcFish dome
* Upgraded speakers
* Orange cable clamps, conduit, and nylon ties
* New ground braid, coil sleeves, hex screws, ramp flaps, coils, opto interrupter arm, drive belt etc etc

Playing fast and fierce, just like every good fishtales should.

I notice the logo of Williams' French importer/distributor 'SPD' in one of the pictures; I suppose it would default to French text upon a reset. Not that this is a criticism, but if a buyer elected to reset it for themselves, they'd need to know how to reach the language adjustment (R.1.21 for French as the existing setting)
 
Wow. great price on a fantastic restore! If i was in the market for a FT id of added my self to that list!

Nice pickup, and yes - I completely forgot about that! One of those settings it's good to have written down somewhere. Being Australian my French is dire...
 
There used to be more to bear in mind with works' games; to stay in keeping with our older System 11 games, I reversed the assignment of the coin switches, so that Left/D1 was 10 pence, through to 4th/D4 being £1. Twice the boss sold games on to a friend, rather than trading them in, and each time a call came in "I've reset it, and now it's £3 a game" though conversely it would also have been 4 plays for 10 pence. One of them was a Fish Tales, in fact.

Is it originally a French spec. game? It's a nice reminder of that if it is.
 
If you change the dip switches you shouldn't have any French I thought? My Theatre I think is originally Germany but since changing the dip switches it never comes on German. Good game for a great price Davey.
 
Having the French pattern set shows the distributor logo and 'Le Dynamisme Francais' in attract mode, even with the language adjustment set to English. A Getaway at work was the same. It would be eradicated with a different pattern, though I think Fish Tales had zero-Ohm jumpers rather than a switch package.

And gone. Thanks everyone for the truly overwhelming interest, i never expected it.

Like most here i love pinball, and doing refurbs is just one of the many facets of this hobby that I enjoy. It makes me happy to know that all the hard work and crazy ideas are appreciated at the other end of the process.

Onto the next one!
 
Dam it, I was slow off the blocks to miss this,....Only 8 in front :rolleyes: ...wen the new owner has had enough I will take it, or swap it with my one ( hu for over 20yrs with cash ) anyhow good luck with it looks lovely.
