Thanks mate. What are they? I'm struggling to work out a lot of the abbreviations lol

Ideally I could do with someone local who wants extensive tattoo work to do a bit of a trade ;)

Ft is fish tails
taf is the addams family.

just ask if unsure.
Someone will come along with a website full of abbreviations soon I'm sure.

i wouldnt get one off ebay, im still trying to sort out countless issues on my 'fully working' pin that my mrs bought for me as a birthday present 3 months ago and has kinda spoilt my first pin experiance because ive not actually played a game where everything works as it should yet!

Nothing wrong with Ebay, just the scumbags on it!

I wouldn't like to get an eBay pin without at least asking the opinion of some people with more experience. Make good use of that experience available on here - The "What is this pin worth?" and "eBay auctions" threads are a good start to discuss anything at the very least.

Gotta admit I did get my first pin off eBay, but I knew before bidding that the seller was a pinhead with a decent rep in the community (and I wasn't disappointed). Another one I went to look at, I took a mate with me who already had several pins and knew what to look for.

Since then I've bought direct off people in the community at meets (either league or just social gatherings). I can't recommend enough going to some meets near you or taking up the offers you will definitely get to go round someones house and play on their collection. You get to play machines without having to buy them, you get to exploit years of experience in the hobby and last but not least you meet some top people and have some fun :)

Well it seems my wife is far more picky on what pin we get for the kitchen than I am. Ive almost bought a couple but she doesn't think any of them look as cool as a star wars one.

It gets easier after the first one, good chance she'll completely loose interest. Is that arm picture in your avatar your work and someone else's arm? Looks fantastic, if a little small to see the detail here :) - if it's yours it might be cool if you post some more pics of your work in the general thread...I'd love to have that artistic ability. How about cross transferring your skills to do something like this: http://www.pinballinfo.com/community/threads/cool-metallica-mods.5628/?

Yeah my work on someone else. I'll post some up. Always willing to trade for arcade gear ;)

As POIBUG says, will get old quite quick. Looks good tho and of course a great theme, who doesn't like SW? in my top 10 films

Don't be tempted to pay more than say £1500 and that needs to be tidy. 2 days ago 1 finished at £1040 and there's always this joking on ebay selling 1 that needs work for £2850,don't go there.
There's 1 on Gumtree in Gloucestershire for £2900 !!!! looks tidy mind, but way over the top on price. Could always offer £1500

Well I was looking at maybe getting something cheap to start with, but it's the wife who wants it to be a Star Wars one (or something as equally cool looking) if it's going in the kitchen

Sega Star Wars Trilogy is imo a pretty good game - I would certainly rate it over the DE one. The sound for a start is waaaaaaay better. But herein lies the problem with pinball recommendations ....for everybody that loves a game, someone else will hate it

Grizz loves baywatch and everyone else hates it :D tho i actually quite like it :D

Was offered a trilogy but not keen on the look of it. So still looking for a DESW.... :)
