I am looking for a working Family Guy Pinball, i am new to this site and new to Pinball and my quest for ownership. The community on this site looks very friendly looking at existing posts about price and condition vs what is out there so i doubt i will get ripped off with the ammount of friendly advice i see being exchanged.

I know the FG is attractive to people like me with the mini board and all, i hope i don't, but I probably will tire of this as many people suggest is a gimmick that draws in the newbies. I am a fan of the show as well which is why i have chosen the FG and not the Shrek. I will be at Play Manchester on the Saturday so maybe i will get a better idea of other Pins there? but for now if you have or know if a FG Pin i could get for less than the extortionate 5k plus that is availble on the internet please help!

Thanks

I've owned a FG for a few years and it is a keeper, it's a great game and the theme does the game justice (& the other way round) it's the funniest pin out there, on par with AFM/MM
of course if you don't know the show you won't find it funny
I don't feel the upper playfield is a gimic, it is an intergral part to the game to get multiball
The machine isn't perfect, and there some bits that anoy me
but there is a lot of reply value and it's tough too!

Mine isn't going anywhere for a while

Here's a review - this guy exaggerates a bit but makes fair points

Hope this helps

its one of those common but rare games ie relatively few were sold but lots of people have them . at least six in the midlands alone. bit like defender pinball , very low production but most survive

I am baby sitting @cooldan 's at the moment and I don't think the mini playfield is a gimmick. There is a technique but also a bit of luck to it as it doesn't bounce the same way. I don't bore of the call outs and as a fan of the show, I often then recall more about the joke being shouted. I haven't got anywhere near a good score on it, or fully understand what I am meant to be doing to get big points but it often gets played.
When I started collecting machines a few years ago, I was told good luck in finding one and have seen few come up for sale.
Good luck in your search and welcome to the site.

Assuming the seller trusts I am not going to back out of the deal, I have it. I Just need to sort out picking it up with him. Sorry AndyP.
