A general chit chat about the wonderful era of lcd games. Specifically the Japanese manufacturer EPOCH and all the great games that we didnt have here in the uk. Grandstand did licence alot of them though and changed titles, case colours etc. but i keep seeing ones i never heard of over here

Also, I am probably getting addicted to importing japanese stuff to :) And when i was a boy going to Argos with my saved up pocket money, those shiny chrome boxes were like red to a bull for me hahah

So first up

My dad use to travel to Japan once a year and bring us back one. Depending on quality, they would usually last a year before breaking.
I need to find if we kept any but we had a foldable donkey kong and a three screen treasure island one.
EDIT:
You can kick me off as the DK was Nintendo.

You have started something here but none of mine were Epoch...
I need to track them down as I had Donky Kong II as well.
Yes i had the grandstand version of the epoch ones when i was a kid. the nintendo ones were too expensive, plus the chrome boxes were the thing!!!

Also this is super cool, but not lcd, its an hv glass one (Vacuum Fluorescent Display)
