All the lamps on the playfield have gone off but everything else seems to work OK.

First step would be to check the fuse. Don't know Teachers Pet but could be a 10A "Playboard lamp" fuse near the tilt board? If you don't have one to hand you could swap the 10A backboard lamp fuse with the 10A playboard lamp fuse and see if that fixes it (and turns the backbox lamps off, of course)
