Priced after an archived similar condition sale on Pinside earlier this year. Will slide it down as we go.

Really sentimental machine since it's my first project and I've owned it going on 3 years. Arrived to me with no boards or translite and had been pilfered.

Full disclosure:
  • 100% working and complete.
  • New translite.
  • Boards were all replaced with fantastic condition boards from a dude in Germany at great expense.
  • LEDs in backglass and select throughout playfield, incandescent everywhere else.
  • New plastics, played maybe 100 times.
  • Plastics held in with rivets have not yet been replaced, but are included.
  • Protectors on slings.
  • New Right Ramp.
  • Topper, manual and old plastics included.
  • Screws on the lower plastic missing in shot but they're in the mail and will be there (I borrowed them).
  • Pop bumper has 1 single odd screw in it to secure it, might wanna replace that for aesthetics.
Redecal, shine up the silverware and a little touch up on the playfield wear spots and a potential a shiner. Enjoy.

If so I can remove it, I read through them last night and, unless I read the wrong rule section, didn't see anything against it.

I don't advocate these types of sales, but there's a lot of desire for the machine and it's highly sought after by quite a number of people on this forum so I honestly don't know the best way of selling but for drawing tickets from a hat. First come first serve feels a little harsh.

Dutch auction is you start with a stated price and reduce it at intervals until someone bites.

You have to name a price, not just invite offers, this isnt eBay. Of course you may get offers but to sell based on offers only isn't allowed.

Thought a Dutch auction was a starting price and then reduce daily/weekly until someone bites.
That’s how the recent ones have worked anyway.

My apologies, I read:

"These are not rules and any feedback from the group will have them changed.

It really would help everyone if all sale items are posted with the following:"

I'll revise the sale.

Yup that's correct.

Dutch auction should start with a price and reduce in cost until a buyer is found.

This is more of a standard auction with no starting price?

Which I believe is against forum rules.

Back onto the machine. I would love it to join my Scared Stiff but i'm already restoring that one and this one needs just as much work to get it to the level I would want it at.

Good luck to the buyer. Elvira pins are definitely cult classics IMO.

It appears that Dutch auctions are allowed but first price sealed bid auctions are not.

Interestingly, as those of you who are mathematicians and understand Bayesian Nash equilibriums will know (obviously), a Dutch Auction and a single sealed bid auction are a effectively equivalent and yield the same outcome.

Interesting, let's do that.

I think with the current price volatility and enormous interest in buying machines that we need to give sellers some latitude.

Key things are that games get advertised on the forum and that sellers pay a bit to help keep the forum going

I haven't looked into it but given Dutch Auctions permit the bidder to reassess at every drop then are they equivalent? The bidder's emotional state will change as the auction progresses and this will influence the bid. I agree that a single sealed bid and fixed threshold would give a similar result but it depends on the granularity of the drops. I could bid 123.45 and seal but if drops are 5.00 then they could never be the same.

Far too busy and fed up and emotionally attached to the machine to try and price it. I picked a similar machine off pinside and just converted the price. Going with £3400.

These are probably the best way to judge true value at any given time with out under selling it.
Start high and reduce until it sells.
Also stays on the forum longer so generates more interest.

Hope you get a good price GLWTS

Aye, spoke to seller while back on it.... didn't hear back till this. Ta anyway.

Apologies to you @JMP and anyone else who had registered interest in it. I really didn't want to sell it and was having a meltdown trying to figure out who I was supposed to offer it to; I've spoke to a few people over maybe 12 months about selling this so that's probably screwed 6 other people. Just had to cut my losses since there's a momentary pressing demand for money to be in my bank.

Will do better.
