Toyed with it but no space. Did look quite nice though. Not surprised it went quickly. Tonight seems to be LOTR night as 2 have just appeared. Can't see wither of them selling at the price they've been pitched at.
Still around the 3k mark for a LOTR for me , and the HUO one is in dream land at that price.

And then you have that Peterfenton chap who's also are Jon Melleny from 1stop pinball selling his for £4k. Big difference in price isn't it.
Just pure greed I reckon as I can't see he paid that for it, or more and he's selling at a loss. Pure madness.

Only ever played LoTR once at Pins anon headq. Must play again at the slam :)

And here's another odd looking 1 day auction:

Very Rare Bally Space Invaders Pinball Machine Excellent Condition Fully Working http://r.ebay.com/2QTFnO

Not why this particular SI is "very rare" and whether any SI would ever achieve this much? I thought £600-700 would be the upper limit?

As you can see from the link below, one of these in much worse condition is being sold fir $5000.

The link doesn't work but it's this auction for an SI in Australia: http://r.ebay.com/1Q2mRw. So, that's $5,495 Australian dollars, or about about £2,970. I guess they've added on two-and-a-half grand to cover the shipping costs to Oz ;)

So what happened to the Godzilla on the bay? I asked for photos and none ever came. He had an insane BIN in mind so can't see anyone coughing that up. Wonder if he lost his nerve as the bids weren't exactly sky high. Guess the distance thing killed it for most bidders.

That's the third or fourth time that BoP has been listed now... It has previously been discussed in this very thread!

Doesn't annoy me, I just find it incredible that someone would be so stubborn. He *must* have been offered/told the realistic value umpteen times. You could buy a fully working decent TFTC for that and still have change for a pint and a pie

They are certainly stubborn. No argument there! It is pretty silly really. 99p start and get it shifted. I bet it would actually do OK as people do tend to get carried away on pin auctions.
But 1k is just insane. He will never get it for that.

He's probably being encouraged by the fact that he has 8 "watchers", no doubt all forum members with no intention of buying :-) I just offered him £20 for it and he auto-declined me - cheeky soab
