Surprised that Dr Who got no takers first time round. Not the greatest listing but not outrageous price. Perhaps things are calming down a bit.

I think we have passed the "Mania Phase" of a bubble, and should be approaching the "Blow Off Phase"

Spoke to Dave regarding the TOM he had on Ebay without pictures. He wanted £2500 for it even though it wasn't working as it had a problem with the 50V and there was lines out on the DMD and he wouldn't send me any photos!
I passed on this one needless to say.

I was trying to sort a deal with Dave for the EBD before I picked up FG. He wouldn't take less than £650 from what I remember (which I thought was too much) and when I kept pushing to negotiate on the price he just stopped communicating.......think I might have upset him

Tried to see if he could source a game for me a couple of years ago. Emailed a couple of times and left phone messages. No one ever got back to me so I gave up and gave my money to someone else

Bought my TZ off him, told me it would be fully working, turned out the board had multiple issues - only spotted one when I was there thought it was a simple fix so didn't bother trying to negotiate. Also told me he would fix the clock for an extra charge but then didn't bother.

Trying to get photos off him is like getting blood out of a stone. His workshop is so jam packed he can only get one or two out at a time to work on. Told me he only moves his machines around in the middle of the night so the neighbours can't see what he's up to. He's an odd character, but my TZ playfield turned out to be in decent nick once the bubbling mylar was removed.

He also quoted me for a Spiderman, then the next day told me I couldn't have it it was out on site.

Some of his machines are alright, might be worth a look you just got to be careful I think he will fleece you if he gets the chance, and ring his mobile as he's seems to ignore most if his emails.

Wow. Seems like a lot of hard work to buy anything from him. Unless it is super rare I wouldn't even bother.

I bought my first game off him a few years ago for way too much money, but that was my own stupid fault for not doing my research. It was a good machine of good quality, I was just a sucker but hold no hard feelings. I remember him being a bit gruff but basically decent.

I was pre-warned by a few on the forum so I knew what to expect....thanks for that.

Wasn't really that bad an experience - the price was reasonable....don't think I'll risk it again though unless it's a super cheap bargain.

Their TOM was an utter basket case, no wonder he wouldn't send me any photos....
Can't say I'm surprised it didn't sell on Ebay today.

Suppose that is the problem with buying something before you've played it although it applied to 99% of the machines I purchased, bit different though when it's a depreciating high ticket item that does not qualify as a keeper.

Re; Pinball Pleasure, my first and only experience with this company was when I enquired a few years ago now about a machine advertised on their website. The website price wasn't particularly cheap, but when I spoke with him he said something like I must be stupid to think he'd sell machines that cheap (the price on the website) and implied I knew nothing about pinball values just for asking. Just prior to this I bought 2 machines from Pinball Heaven, so it was not as though I was offering to pay pennies. Needless to say, I found him unpleasant to deal with and ended up buying a machine elsewhere.
Cheers, Mark
