Pretty sure I've played that CV and the other machines mentioned if it belongs to who I think it does ( Ben? ). It does look like its just out of the box but 6K?

It is that machine and this isn't the first time Ben's CV (and it's asking price) have been discussed on this forum. It is a very "minty" (yep that over used word!) example, like new, with probably less than a thousand or so games on it since it came back from Chad. We had this CV at Special When Lit last Christmas as one of the tournament games and everyone agreed that it was a very, very nice example without doubt one of the best in this country (if not the best). The price does put most people off it though.

It's the same CV that's in these photos on Chad's website:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221346812619 - "TAF Found in dry storage after 15 years" - That's a new CPU board needed because of the corrosion from the batteries then!!

"We've recently been advised that with around £500 refurbishment costs there would be a final intrinsic value of £5k+ for a table restored to its original glory - especially in the overseas market." - Are you sure?????

£2,610.... It's just wrong given the quality of the listing, and dare I say the item too.

Expect it to be back on again soon then i recon..... i sincerely hope the winner collects so they can check the state of the machine before parting with their hard earned cash :(

Agreed, you would be disappointed if you expected to collect the machine in the second picture (set up in a room by the window), as I guess the machine you are picking up is on the one on the floor :(

Think there will be some haggling going on with the TAF when the buyer arrives to collect, good chance the seller will be flexible to stop it going back up a 3rd time, looks like there will be another one up soon in similar condition.

I would not of gave no more than a 1000 for it in the condition it was in 2600 for a machine that does not work

Please tell me someone here got that STTNG..... I was sorely tempted, however no cash and already having one put me off!!!

Was tempted, but just the wrong time to take on a first project with builders in and no free time to go collect (plus got one on the way as soon as the dust clears already). Nice price though - Hope someone has fun fixing it up.
